Silva Is Available for Signing up with Barcelona

 

With January 2023 transfer window still open, most of the news is that of possible transfers and re-assignments. For instance, Barcelona has been interested in taking up Bernardo Silva, a 28-year-old creative midfielder. He was currently being chased by Paris Saint-Germain, the Ligue 1 champions. However, the latest news is that Paris Saint-Germain is not considering signing him up this season. Hence, Barcelona is free to chase this player.

 

With Paris Saint-Germain opening up the field for Barcelona, they would want to sign him when the transfer window opens up in the summer. Bernardo is considered one of the most creative midfield players of the Premier League since he arrived in 2107 from AS Monaco. However, till now Pep Guardiola has not opted for him. The Portuguese international player is known for delivering results, especially when teams are in tight spots. Till now he has assisted in 56 goals for Manchester City. According to a report by Spanish outlet Fichajes, Thomas Tuchel has emerged on Barcelona’s radar. The Catalan giants view the 49-year-old German manager as a potential replacement for Xavi Hernandez, with the current Barcelona boss under tremendous pressure following recent results. Barcelona seemed to be moving in the right direction in the first eight months under the tutelage of Xavi Hernandez. The 42-year-old had overseen some promising results, including a big win over Real Madrid last season. And while Barcelona failed to win the UEFA Europa League, Xavi had Joan Laporta’s backing.

KOUNDE SUFFERS INJURY AGAINST AUSTRIA

Barcelona have been handed an injury blow during the ongoing international break after new signing Jules Kounde suffered an injury during this season’s UEFA Nations League clash between France and Austria on Thursday night. The Barcelona defender had to leave the field around the midway point of the first half due to the injury and he was replaced by Arsenal defender William Saliba. In his post-match press conference, France manager Didier Deschamps informed journalists that Kounde suffered a muscle injury in the first half and he had to leave the home game against the Austrians as a result.

CHELSEA EYEING AUBA DEAL – REPORTS

Two-time European champions Chelsea are plotting a move for Barcelona striker Pierre-EmerickAubameyang this summer. This is according to the various reports in the media. Chelsea want to sign a new striker between now and the rest of this summer’s transfer window. The search for a new striker has been narrowed down to Aubameyang. Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel worked with the Barcelona player for some years at Borussia Dortmund in the German top flight and they enjoyed a very good relationship. To this effect, Tuchel is keen to reunite with Aubameyang at Stamford Bridge.

Popular transfer guru Fabrizio Romano has confirmed the interest of Chelsea in Aubameyang. After taking Europe by storm during his stint with the Dutch giants, the 25-year-old joined Barcelona in July 2019 and has since continued his progress at Camp Nou. The Dutch midfielder has made 140 appearances for Barcelona thus far, chipping in with 13 goals and 17 assists. But de Jong faces an uncertain future at the Catalan club amid their financial distress. And Barcelona’s woes could be Manchester United’s gain, with the Red Devils hot on the trail of de Jong.
