BARCA TO GET A NEW HITMAN

 

It is no longer news that Barca is in the market for a new striker. The sad decision by Sergio Aguero to retire as a result of a heart condition has left Barca scratching their heads. Luuk De Jong is currently the only senior striker that’s currently fit. Martin Braithwaite is currently recovering from surgery, and should still be out for a few weeks.

Though players like teen sensation Fati and Netherlands international Depay can play that role, Barca does need a reliable striker. BARCA REPORTEDLY IN ADVANCED TALKS TO SIGN MAN CITY STAR

 

Spanish La Liga giants Barcelona are said to be coming close to reaching an agreement with Manchester City defender Aymeric Laporte and are willing to go all out to sign the player in the summer transfer window. Barcelona are reportedly working on a couple of summer deals as they continue their search for potential signings that will be capable of strengthening the squad and helping them fight for major titles next season.

They started the move by electing a new president in Juan Laporta and the club’s new president has pledged to make things right at the club by first convincing their star players, including Lionel Messi, to sign new contract extensions and then attracting some top players to the club in the next few transfer windows starting from this summer.

Barcelona Closely Monitoring Agüero’s Situation At City

The news about Spanish La Liga giants being interested in signing Manchester City Striker Sergio Agüero continues to heat up with each passing day, and the rumors are beginning to get more concrete. According to Marca, Barcelona are highly interested in the forward and have continued to monitor his current situation at the Etihad club, amid reports that the Blaugrana will make a move for the Argentine superstar striker at the end of the current campaign.

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is already preparing his squad for life after Agüero and has sidelined the legendary striker to just a few games this season. Although injuries and some quarantine moments have also played a role in Restricting Agüero to limited game time this season, when he has been fit and available to play, he has only ended up being an unused substitute a lot of those times.

Barcelona Eyeing Transfer Of Manchester City Striker In The Summer

Spanish giants Barcelona have reportedly created a 5-man shortlist containing strikers that they are interested in signing ahead of the summer transfer window opening at the tail-end of the season, according to reports. That list contains Manchester City’s long-serving and legendary striker Sergio Agüero.

Argentina international striker Agüero will see his contract at Manchester City run out at the end of the summer if he does not renew, and has reportedly been linked with a move to Spanish La Liga outfit Barcelona. As the situation stands currently, it is looking highly unlikely that the former Atletico Madrid man will be offered a new contract at the Etihad, as manager Pep Guardiola reportedly believes he is already aging and has his best years past him already.
